Antonio Galloni 93/100
The 2020 Barolo Cannubi is a sensual, elegant wine. Sweet dried red cherry, tobacco, incense, leather and dried herbs grace this gentle, caressing Barolo. All the elements are nicely balanced. Best of all, the 2020 will drink well right out of the gate.Drink 2026 - 2040antonio_galloni, Vinous.com.com (November 2023)

Kerin O'Keefe 95/100
The 2020 Giacomo Fenocchio Cannubi is a beautiful, generous Barolo. It opens with heady aromas of forest berry, blue flower, new leather and star anise. On the elegantly structured palate, notes of licorice, cinnamon and blood orange accent a core succulent black cherry and pencil lead. Velvety tannins envelope the delicious flavors while fresh acidity keeps balanced.Drink 2027 - 2035Kerin O'Keefe, KerinOKeefe.com (March 2024)

About this wine
Nebbiolo
Nebbiolo is the grape behind the Barolo and Barbaresco wines and is hardly ever seen outside the confines of Piedmont. It takes its name from "nebbia" which is Italian for fog, a frequent phenomenon in the region.

Barolo
Piedmont's most famous wine DOCG (Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita), Barolo is renowned for producing Italy's finest reds from 100 percent Nebbiolo. The Barolo appellation was formalised in 1966 at around 1,700 hectares, and has an exceptional terroir with almost every village perched on its own hill. The climate is continental, with an extended summer and autumn enabling the fickle Nebbiolo to achieve perfect ripeness.
