Description
Du Tertre has been using higher proportions of Petit Verdot since 2010, and in a year like 2018, it has really paid off. It tames the rich top notes of the vintage and gives the wine a more supportive tannic structure. The bouquet is lovely, enhanced by the floral notes of Cabernet Franc, and the palate is controlled and suave. Drink 2024-2035.

Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW 89-91/100
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2018 du Tertre is a little reduced to begin, opening out to notions of baked plums, warm cassis and dried mulberries with hints of tar, chargrill and black pepper plus a waft of bouquet garni. Full-bodied with a firm, chewy frame, it has a good amount of baked berries and herbal flavors with a sage-laced finish.Lisa Perrotti-Brown - 23/04/2019
