Description
The Serralunga commune really thrived in 2016 and Davide feels it is his best vintage in the last 20 years. This is a blend of six parcels, beautifully showcasing the style of Serralunga Barolo. The fruit was such high quality in 2016 that Davide decided to age it in botti for 30 months, six months longer than usual. A deep core of black cherry is overlaid with notes of peach and dried herbs. It’s full and well-structured with prominent tannins. Drink 2022-2040.

He may not have the uninterrupted winemaking history of some of his famous neighbours, but he is the envy of many: he has some of the most desirable vineyards in Barolo – Serralunga d’Alba, Cerretta, Serra – showcasing the vivid terroir of his beloved hometown.
