Description
This is a triumphant blend of six crus, beautifully capturing the essence of Serralunga. Like all Davide’s Baroli, this is fermented in concrete before being matured in custom-made French oak botti grandi. Typically firm in structure, it has a dark core of fruit and dried herbs. Being Serralunga, its ability to age is never in question, but the 2015 is perhaps fleshier than other recent vintages, allowing slightly earlier enjoyment. Drink 2022-2035.

About this wine
Nebbiolo
Nebbiolo is the grape behind the Barolo and Barbaresco wines and is hardly ever seen outside the confines of Piedmont. It takes its name from "nebbia" which is Italian for fog, a frequent phenomenon in the region.

Giovanni Rosso
Davide Rosso took over from his father, Giovanni, in the early 2000s. He has since risen quickly in reputation as one of Piedmont’s greatest producers. He may not have the uninterrupted winemaking history of some of his famous neighbours, but he is the envy of many: he has some of the most desirable vineyards in Barolo – Serralunga d’Alba, Cerretta, Serra – showcasing the vivid terroir of his beloved hometown.
