Description
Delicious. Decadent. Creamy & Dreamy! A beautifully multilayered, multisensory, black fruit depth charge! The weight and texture of this little gem is fabulous and even in its infancy you want to plunge into it now, head first, and consume it. This really is, by far, the best blended Bordeaux there is. I served it blind to two famous Chateau owners earlier this week and to give them their due they both hit Bordeaux button straight away, 2009 and 2005 for the vintage, then various guesses but in the Second and First Growth arenas only. I have been “fooled”(and have bought for my cellar) by 4 vintages of this into believing it is really up there in the panoply of Bordeaux greats and it is. Extremely polished and precise. Well worth at least a case of bottles, and if you can stretch to it, Magnums as well.

Critics reviews
Robert Parker 90/100
This is a branded wine produced from the very best lots that the Dourthe firm owns, which includes some well-known chateaux such as Le Boscq in St.-Estephe, La Garde in Pessac-Leognan, Belgrave in the Medoc, and Grand Barrail in St.-Emilion. Only 500 cases are made, and the 2008 is a beauty. Dense purple, with loads of black currant fruit intermixed with hints of coffee bean, tobacco leaf, and licorice, the wine is medium to full-bodied and concentrated, with sweet tannin. Even though this is a branded negociant wine, it is at the highest level of quality and should age nicely for at least a decade. robert_parker - Wine Advocate
