Description
An expressive nose reveals aromas of white peach, greengage and apple skin, with a lifted floral character of lemon blossom. A little richness appears from underneath with gentle notes of gingerbread and warm brioche tempting you in for the first sip. Tiny, persistent bubbles lead to an exquisitely fine mousse complemented by an abundance of energy, courtesy of a tightly wound acidity.
Detailled flavours of gooseberry and lemon flint hold through to the back of the palate. This is superbly fresh considering disgorgement was in 2014, with great vinosity throughout. A perfect combination of richness and tension, it is an eloquent and delicious Champagne which is more accessible than the powerful 2002. Beautifully crafted, a compelling result from this wonderful vintage.
