Description
This is made by the great Patrick Moulin in the Haut-Medoc, a region well known to fans of Claret for producing some of the Old World’s greatest wines. Made with a blend dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, it shows rich strawberry and cassis fruit that’s concentrated yet delicate. Combining purity, balance and sophisticated charm, this is a wonderful wine.

Neal Martin MW 86/100
Tasted in Bordeaux from an ex-chteau bottle, the 2000 La Lagune has a ripe brambly red fruit, raspberry preserve and rose petal scented bouquet that is attractive, if not the most complex 2000 Claret you will find. The palate is medium-bodied with dry, slightly disjointed tannins and a rather hollow finish that lacks substance and length. You are left feeling shortchanged by this very average La Lagune. Tasted April 2015.Neil Martin - 29/07/2016
