Lochlea, Sowing Edition, Second Crop, Lowland, Single Malt Scotch Whisky (46%)
- Scotch Whisky
Description
Lochlea Distillery was founded on a working farm in Ayrshire, Scotland. The farm was once worked by Scotland’s national poet, Robert Burns. Here, the team – overseen by ex-Laphroaig master distiller John Campbell – produces artisanal single malts. Whisky production here is closely tied to the agricultural calendar, with each edition named after a farming activity. The Sowing Edition Second Crop reflects how Lochlea works in tandem with the seasons, bringing its agricultural heritage to life.

About this spirit
Lowlands
Barley
Barley is a key ingredient in the production of some of the world's most renowned spirits, particularly whiskey and Scotch whisky. Malted barley is used as the primary grain in many single malt and blended Scotch whiskies, where it contributes a distinct malty, nutty, and sometimes smoky flavour profile. In addition to Scotch, barley is also a staple in the production of Irish whiskey, where it often lends a smoother, creamier taste. The versatility of barley as a grain makes it a favorite for creating complex and deeply nuanced spirits cherished by enthusiasts worldwide.
