Volcán de mi Tierra, Blanco Tequila (40%)

Volcan de mi Tierra is a Tequila producer that was established in 2017. It takes its name from a volcano located in Jalisco, Mexico. There are four Tequilas in the range: Blanco, Reposado, Cristalino, and X.A. (Xtra Assemblage). The house is a collaboration between Moët Hennessy and the Gallardo family, whose Mexican roots date back to 1774.

Mexico boasts a rich tradition of spirit-making, centring on tequila and mezcal. Tequila, derived from blue agave, undergoes a regulated process in regions like Jalisco, yielding varieties such as blanco and añejo. Mezcal, made from various agave species, mainly thrives in Oaxaca and is known for its unique smoky flavour. Both spirits hold cultural significance, and the rise of premium and craft varieties has spurred the growth of small-batch distilleries.
