Gran Patrón Piedra is aged in extremely unusual hybrid casks, made of both French and American oak, giving myriad touches of spice through the years of maturation. Furthermore, the underlying peppery character is preserved, and amplified, by the archaic tahoma process of agave-crushing insisted upon by the master distiller. Sweet tobacco and fudge round out the palate, leading to a lovely, rich finish. Sip this quietly, or, surprise yourself with an exceptional Old Fashioned.
