Pavie-Decesse is situated in the heart of the Côtes sub-district of St. Emilion, with the vineyards being planted on chalky, clay soils. There are 9 hectares planted with Merlot (60%), Cabernet Franc (20%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (20%).
Pavie Decesse is vinified traditionally before being matured in 100% new oak barrels for 18 months. The wines are deep in colour and concentrated and intense on the palate, with noticeable tannins and hints of vanilla.
