Arette Tequila

Arette Tequila

Tequila Arette was founded by the Orendain family, and has been managed by Eduardo and Jaime Orendain since 1976. ‘Arette’ originates from the name of the horse that Humberto Mariles won two gold medals with, in Jumping at the London Summer Olympics in 1948. The distillery, also known as ‘El Llano’, is located in the town of Tequila, and is the oldest in the region to produce tequila. The spirit is made from only the estate’s blue agave plants, always producing quality over quantity as it has always been done. Distinct aromas of herbs and citrus flowers characterise the tequila made at El Llano. In 1978, the distillery was rebuilt, and today’s Tequila Arette would have been made in 1986.
