Domaine de la Rossignole

Domaine de La Rossignole can trace its history back to 1927 when it was established by Maurice Cherrier. He had some small holdings in vineyards, which were then supplemented, by vineyards from his wife's family and the domaine now consists of 14 hectares of vineyards. Pierre Cheerier took over the running of the domaine in 1962 and today it is still family owned and run with Pierre's 2 sons, François and Jean-Marie now being at the helm.

François and Jean-Marie both studied for 3 years at the Lycée Viticole in Beaune and between them they have propelled this domaine into the front ranks of Sancerre producers. It is best known for its nervy and flinty white Sancerres, although it also produces very small quantities of high quality rosé and red Sancerres.
