Introduction to the Wines of England, Thursday 21st March 2024

With similar soils to the famous land of Champagne and an ever-warming climate, England has for some time now been on the radar of many fine wine experts. Our reputation hangs mostly on the supremely high-quality sparkling wines being produced in different regions. Yet, viticulturalists and winemakers alike are growing ever more confident in their ability to craft small quantities of superb still wine from familiar grape varieties such as Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, but also English speciality varieties such as Bacchus. 

Join your host and English wine super-fan, Victoria Bubb, for a relaxed yet educational two-hour masterclass where you will have the opportunity to try examples of sparkling, white, red and even sweet wine from England. 

As ever, to keep you going through the evening, we will provide a delicious selection of olives, English cheeses, charcuterie and freshly baked sourdough bread.
