Port Askaig, Autumn Edition, 12-Year-Old, Islay, Single Malt Scotch Whisky (45.8%)

The evocative peat smoke nose on this dram is eminently typical of Islay’s finest whiskies. A hint of sea spray is reminiscent of its coastal home. The initial rush of fruit sweetness on the palate is tempered by subtle flavours of cooked seaweed and a dash of stewed apple. The finish is beautifully smooth and enticing.
