Description
Graham made one of the top three vintage ports in 1997, for some the best wine of all. 97 is maturing relatively faster than 94, but is still of course, a youngster. This wine has a deep, dense colour, a still primary nose dominated by macerated fruit, pepper and a hint of soot; its tannins are tight, stentorian even, they hold the secret to its future, which seems assured indeed.

Critics reviews
Jancis Robinson MW 17.5/20
Deep crimson. Thick, sweet and concentrated. Round and full and unctuous. Lots of macerated prunes and confidence. Lively and dense with real richness but a correct structure. Some floral notes and some dry tannins on the finish. Not quite married but a definite tea flavour. Dry finish. jancis_robinson_mw MW - JancisRobinson.com – October 2004)
About this wine
Graham
W & J Graham was originally a Glasgow-based textiles firm, founded by two brothers William and John Graham, which became port shippers in the early 1800s. The family already had extensive business interests in Scotland and India but they decided to channel their considerable resources and energy towards the pursuit of the Port industry.
