Bunnahabhain, Fèis Ìle 2023, Canasta Cask Finish, Islay, Single Malt Sco Whisky (51.2%)
- Scotch Whisky
Description
Bunnahabhain’s Fèis Ìle celebrates something that is not your quintessential Islay. Unpeated and aged entirely in Canasta Sherry Casks, Bunnahabhain has reshuffled the deck regarding what to expect from this renowned whisky province. This brings a warm, golden feeling of comfort throughout your senses. A soft layer of dark chocolate sits above the more prominent scent of rum and raisin. Toasted oak and cigar leaf mingle on the palate, creating an exciting tension and energy softened by the presence of fruit. This is a sweeter whisky, thanks to the former cream sherry cask in which it underwent its ageing.

Barley
Barley is a key ingredient in the production of some of the world's most renowned spirits, particularly whiskey and Scotch whisky. Malted barley is used as the primary grain in many single malt and blended Scotch whiskies, where it contributes a distinct malty, nutty, and sometimes smoky flavour profile. In addition to Scotch, barley is also a staple in the production of Irish whiskey, where it often lends a smoother, creamier taste. The versatility of barley as a grain makes it a favorite for creating complex and deeply nuanced spirits cherished by enthusiasts worldwide.
