Deanston, Dragon's Milk, Stout Cask Finish, Highland, Single Malt Scotch Whisky (50.5%)
- Scotch Whisky
Description
This collaboration between Deanston and Dragon’s Milk is as intriguing as it is enchanting. Distilled in 2012, this single malt was initially matured in re-charred whisky casks, before finishing in casks that previously contained Dragon’s Milk stout.
The nose sings with fresh green apple and soft herbaceous malt, leading to a beautiful palate of biscuit, peppery heat, and decadent notes of coffee and cacao, imparted by the stout cask.
This whisky is best enjoyed alongside a creamy soft cheese, or after a full-bodied craft beer.

Barley
Barley is a key ingredient in the production of some of the world's most renowned spirits, particularly whiskey and Scotch whisky. Malted barley is used as the primary grain in many single malt and blended Scotch whiskies, where it contributes a distinct malty, nutty, and sometimes smoky flavour profile. In addition to Scotch, barley is also a staple in the production of Irish whiskey, where it often lends a smoother, creamier taste. The versatility of barley as a grain makes it a favorite for creating complex and deeply nuanced spirits cherished by enthusiasts worldwide.
