Teeling, Single Malt Whiskey, Ireland (46%)
- Irish Whiskeys
Description
The Teeling family have been at the forefront of Irish whiskey production since 1782 when Walter Teeling started a micro-distillery on Marrowbone Lane in Dublin. Since 2012, the distillery has been under the stewardship of Jack and Stephen Teeling. Things came full circle in 2015 when they opened a new distillery just down the road from where the original micro-distillery once stood. This single malt is a blend of aged double pot still-distilled malt whiskies. It is aged in various casks, including Sherry, Port, Madeira and white Burgundy.

Barley
Barley is a key ingredient in the production of some of the world's most renowned spirits, particularly whiskey and Scotch whisky. Malted barley is used as the primary grain in many single malt and blended Scotch whiskies, where it contributes a distinct malty, nutty, and sometimes smoky flavour profile. In addition to Scotch, barley is also a staple in the production of Irish whiskey, where it often lends a smoother, creamier taste. The versatility of barley as a grain makes it a favorite for creating complex and deeply nuanced spirits cherished by enthusiasts worldwide.
