Description

From Cros Martin and neighbouring Les Lurets, at the southern end of the appellation. This vineyard is now performing very well after changes to how the soil was worked. Whole bunch is 20%, the most ever for this wine and it has both crunchy fruit and a well-formed palate, a nice mix of classic and modern. Drink 2025-2035.

The 2022 Volnay Village comes from the lower part of the slope with no stems added. It has a very pure bouquet with blackberry, raspberry and light iris flower scents that gain intensity in the glass. The medium-bodied palate offers sappy black cherries on the entry and fine tannins, well-balanced with a gentle grip on the finish.
