Matthew Hayes 16/20
2.7 ha (6.7 acres). 15% new oak. Tank sample.Mid-pale lemon. Very classic, fresh but ripe apple and lemon. Medium-bodied with tangy, brisk acidity. Touch of leesiness, spice and vanilla from the oak. Fresh and vigorous. Moderate volume and length. (MH)Drink 2025 - 2030Matthew Hayes, JancisRobinson.com (January 2023)

Glowing yellow colour, quite backward, good energy. A little bitterness, not the wealth of the hotter years, but good tension. Second cuvée a little less colour and power but fuller on the palate, a more classical succulence. Third also discreet on the nose but poised with good acidity. And some length. Going to work very well.Drink 2025 - 2028Jasper Morris MW, insideburgundy.com (October 2022)

About this wine

Domaine Jacques Carillon

The Carillon family has been making wine in the village of Puligny-Montrachet since the 16th century, beginning with Jehan Carillon, who was a vintner in Puligny in 1520. After completing his studies at the winemaking school in Beaune, France, Jacques Carillon joined his father in the family vineyard in 1980. His specializations include winemaking and marketing. In 2010, Jacques and his wife Sylvia founded the Jacques Carillon vineyard with 5.25 hectares of vines, primarily in the village of Puligny-Montrachet.
